Pat Higgins is a highly regarded community musician from Allihies on the Beara Peninsula, West Cork, whose music plays a vital role in bringing people together. A skilled guitarist and harmonica player, Pat is known not only for his musical talent but for his ability to create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere where audiences of all ages feel connected and involved. His performances are rooted in the strong traditions of Irish folk music and local culture, often encouraging participation through singalongs, shared stories, and a genuine sense of belonging. A familiar and much-loved presence on Bere Island, Pat’s appearance at the festival will strengthen community ties, celebrate local identity, and provide an important opportunity for both residents and visitors to gather, share, and experience live music in a meaningful and accessible way.

There is a late night foot passenger ferry at 11pm from Rerrin Village to The Pontoon.
