Military History Tour
Take a guided tour of Lonehort Battery, which was operational during World War One. It is the largest of seven gun batteries built on Bere Island by the British Admiralty. The battery is surrounded by a deep moat and still contains two 6″ coastal artillery guns.

Exhibition Opening / Borderline Project / Shiro Masuyama
The Borderline project by Shiro Masuyama was commissioned for Derry-Londonderry City of Culture 2013. It features a converted caravan interior divided into two mirrored sections representing Irish and British cultures, with paired objects highlighting similarities and differences.

Holding Bones
In this new original piece from Púca for adults The Holding Bones, Lawlor, veteran performer for nearly 30 years, counts her ancestors on her very bones and brings them back to life on stage. Vital theatrical storytelling and live drawing invites you to meditate on family, memory and rituals of grieving and how to embrace the bittersweet turns of the cycle of life.

Beara / Harpist Tara Viscardi and Flautist Robert Harvey
Beara is a musical journey through the landscapes, stories and traditions of the Beara Peninsula, performed by harpist Tara Viscardi, who is from Lauragh on the Beara Peninsula, and flautist Robert Harvey.

Long Table Supper on Culture Night
The evening will be hosted by storyteller and writer Diarmuid Ó Drisceoil, whose engaging storytelling will help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere around the table. Special guest performers and contributors will feature throughout the evening, adding music, stories and conversation to this unique gathering.

Entertainment is free. €25 donation towards the cost of the food would be welcomed.
Live Music / Pat Higgins
Pat Higgins is a highly regarded community musician from Allihies on the Beara Peninsula, West Cork, whose music plays a vital role in bringing people together. A skilled guitarist and harmonica player, Pat is known not only for his musical talent but for his ability to create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere where audiences of all ages feel connected and involved.
