Poetry and Film Workshop / Colm Scully

Colm Scully, award winning poet and poetryfilm maker, will give a two day workshop on the art and skills of poetry film making. If you love poetry and often wonder how you might visualise your words, or if you are an amateur film maker who is dying to put their thoughts onto paper, this is the class for you. Over two days participants will explore what poetryfilm is, what you need to start making a poetryfilm and how you would go about reimagining your chosen poem on the screen. This is a beginner's course, all you need to bring are pen, paper and a smart phone (iPads, tablets or laptops are also welcome).

You won't have a film completed in the two days but we will show the ways to get there.  There will be a follow-on zoom meeting a few months after the workshop, where people can share what they have created in the interim.
