Songwriter, musician, author, cook, Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health. Mike Hanrahan is an accomplished songwriter and musician who has performed with Stocktons Wing, Ronnie Drew, Eleanor Shanley, Maura O Connell, Finbar Furey and Leslie Dowdall. As a chef / author his memoir, Beautiful Affair, a journey in music, food and friendship was shortlisted for 2019 An Post awards. In 2023 he completed a Fellowship and Post Graduate course on Equity in Brain Health at Trinity College in Dublin exploring creative arts in dementia care and wellbeing. He is currently writing a book of short stories on dementia. Mike is an ambassador for Bealtaine Creative Arts in Ageing and Clare Age Friendly promoting equity in ageing. He is also a writer in Residence Áras Chronáin Clondalkin Irish Centre.
Dr. Eva McMullan-Glossop has a PhD in music and most recently graduated with an MSc in Medicine and Health. Eva's interdisciplinary research has brought the fields of Music, Psychology and Neuroscience together. Her projects, to date, have included MINdDS, Music as an Intervention in the Neurological development of children with Down Syndrome (www.ucc.ie/en/mindds/) and miniMINdDS in collaboration with Prof. Pauline Frizelle that focused on speech development of children with Down Syndrome. Eva is also involved in a number of projects collaborating with consultants in both University Hospital Cork and the Mater Private.
