Music and conversation / Mike Hanrahan with Dr. Eva McMullan Glossop

Songwriter, musician, author, cook, Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health. Mike Hanrahan predominantly came to the fore through his highly established profile in the music arena. He has performed with Stocktons Wing, Ronnie Drew, Eleanor Shanley, Maura O’Connell, Finbar Furey and Leslie Dowdall. His memoir, Beautiful Affair, A journey in music, food and friendship was shortlisted for the 2019 An Post awards. He is currently writing a book of short stories on dementia. Mike is an ambassador for Bealtaine Creative Arts in Ageing and Clare Age Friendly promoting equity in ageing. Dr. Eva McMullan-Glossop has a PhD in music and most recently graduated with an MSc in Medicine and Health. Eva’s interdisciplinary research has brought the fields of Music, Psychology and Neuroscience together.

Eva has become predominantly known through her MINdDS project  (Music as an Intervention in the Neurological development of children with Down Syndrome) and miniMINdDS, which explores speech development through song and sign.
