Paula Meehan asks that participants bring an object or a photograph of an object of any kind that they wish to use to generate something new during the workshop. The session is suitable for anyone with an interest in poetry. Paula asks that participants read these three poems by Eavan Boland in advance — ‘Lava Cameo’, ‘The Black Lace Fan My Mother Gave Me’ and ‘The Last Discipline’. Paula Meehan was born and raised in Dublin’s north inner city. Her award winning poetry has garnered widespread acclaim. She has collaborated widely with musicians, composers, choreographers, artists and filmmakers. Her most recent collection The Solace of Artemis (Dedalus Press, 2023) received the Pigott Prize for Poetry. Paula is a member of Aosdána.
