The Green Rope project is an ongoing social sculpture by artist William Bock (@bockworks). The sugán rope, an ancient tool, in this project, is reappropriated as a tool for human and ecological reconnection. It offers a tacit space for conversation, creativity and empathy. The Sherkin Green Rope film captures a sugán rope being made over a year using wild island plants. The process reveals experiences of displacement and a small island community connecting in a time of adversity.
