Stockton’s Wing

Icons, trailblazers, and legends of Irish music - Stockton's Wing, are embarking on a tour to launch their new live album 'Hometown'. Hitting every county on the island in 2024, they will be visiting venues in villages, towns, and cities in every corner of Ireland, from Dublin to Donegal, Antrim to Cork, Wexford to Clare. Stockton's Wing have a reputation for being one of Ireland's most exciting live bands, their shows are filled with energy and passion, as well as an incredible sense of fun.

The band aim to bring their unique style of music, their story and their enthralling live show to as many people as possible. Having been at the forefront of Irish music for 40+ years, with a career that has brought them to every corner of the world, from their humble beginnings in Brogan’s pub in Ennis, to becoming one of Ireland's leading bands and touring the globe, the Wing are showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. With Paul Roche's wild and haunting flutes and whistles, Mike Hanrahan's passionate, thought provoking songwriting and articulate guitar playing, they have got the energy and enthusiasm of a young band, backed up by the experience and talent of some of Ireland's finest musicians in Karol Lynch on banjo and mandolin, Tara Breen on fiddle and Paul McSherry on guitar.

Support act Torcán is an innovative four-piece trad band blending high-energy modern compositions on piano accordion and flute with soulful slow sets on low whistle. Featuring All-Ireland champions Jason Turk and Karl Nesbitt - whose groundbreaking work now features on the Irish junior cert music syllabus. They're joined by Seán Murphy on fiddle and Robin Turk on guitar. Expect a powerful mix of instruments, creativity, and truly original contemporary takes on Irish traditional tunes.
