Workshop / Discovering the art and process of green rope making / William Bock

The artist will lead a gentle foraging walk to collect wild grasses, followed by a cup of tea and the chance to begin the art and process of green rope making together. This is not about finishing a rope, but about starting something — sharing stories, exchanging knowledge and taking the first steps in this communal craft. And who knows, a few songs may be shared along the way.

William Bock is an interdisciplinary Irish artist based in West Cork and working internationally. Bock’s practice delves into the experiences of living between cultures, landscapes and identities. He uses photography, painting, sound recording, performance and installation to explore the connections between people, ecology, migration, and identity.
